We always used Disney as a cheap back-up vacation fro us.

Never heard Disney and cheap in the same sentence before.

My sister-in-law works for Disney’s credit union. Free admission to the parks and free room and board made for a cheap vacation.

I get to stay in Snow Whites old Castle. Compliments US Army Shades of Green. A lot more “affordable” than other resorts and it’s right on Disney.

Orville- we are without power for 24 hours. Though not as long as your problem a couple years ago it’s a pain to lose power from a rain storm not a tornado or hurricane. They have said it could be a week. 100 mph winds knocked down 300+ poles to the line that feeds our under ground lines. 4400 of us.

Holy cow!!  It’s fixed!!  Apparently I had LOR software version 4.3.22. It was a short-term release that apparently had trouble locating controllers.  I updated my software to 4.3.26 and it solved the issue. Thanks to everyone  for all of the help.

Glad to be of help when we can.  Sure happy to hear your issue was fixed by a simple software upgrade and not bad controllers or a bad USB485 device.

Well next time you're in Orlando, you'll have to look me up! :)

One of the Pastors of my church also works for Disney, he's in the maintenance dispatch department, which I found fascinating to know they can actually control lights and other things at Disneyland in California from Disney World in Orlando!

If you're ever going to be in Orlando, just PM me and I'll send you my address and maybe we can meet and discuss our LOR projects/displays..

Absolutely. My sister-in-law works for their credit union and her husband is one of the guys in charge of Disneys transportation department. Must be a good company to work for, they have both been there over 20 years.

The invire is mutual. If you are ever in mid missouri, let me know. I live at lake of the Ozarks. One of the biggest man made lakes with more shoreline than the state of California. It’s also a tourist area.

Keep in touch.

Yep, no fun having no power.  We did that for almost 6 years and folks wonder how we managed.   Used to be every time we had a thunderstorm in our area, the power in our section would *always* go off and then it'd take the power company from 5-10 hours to get it back on.  why so long I never could figure out, it was just a simple transformer shorted out and the only one that serves our area.  Before the new company took over for them, the old power company would have us back up and running in usually less than an hour, 30 minutes or less was usually normal.   But the new one, well, let's just say I wish the older company was the one still around! LOL

Good Luck with the power.  Hope it comes back on soon!

If we ever get that way to visit my wifes relatives, will do. :)  BTW: The Pastor has been there since they opened the park in 1971, can't believe it's been that long, 47 years Disney's been here and he must've been some of the first crew hired on.  I had my short stint with them in 1977-1978 time frame, just wasn't for me. LOL
