RoswellSanta
I have the mDM-MP3 player and want to convert to an external power supply. The manual says an adapter that is 9 volt DC, 50 mAmp is required. The lowest I have found is 210 mAmp. Could this adapter work? Thanks in advance

RoswellSanta
Thank you very much. I didn't want to fry my player
jtomason
You would only fry it if you fed it too much voltage - or possibly if the supply couldn't provide the 50ma of current required. Having a power supply that can supply more amperage than your device needs is not a problem, it's pretty much a requirement. It might help to think about it as a car.. The engine needs a certain rate of gasoline flowing in to run it.. If you have a fuel pump that can supply it at the rate(s) it requires (which changes based on how fast you are going), then you are OK. If it can only provide 50% of the required gasoline, then you have problems. If it is capable of providing gas at twice the rate as the max usage of the engine, that's fine. It won't actually supply more than your engine calls for, but it could for a larger engine.
