tmb1224
I am fairly new to LOR with just setting up my first 16 channel display last year. I want to add LED strips on more controllers this year and purchased a few SMD 5050 30 and 60 strips online. I believe they call these dumb strips because you cant control each pixel? Is there any way you can control each pixel or segment of pixels with the LOR controller or do I need to cut the strips into individual sections? Do i need a DMX controller to to break these up and is there any suggestions on what I should use? Thanks much,TimBo
Shubb
If they are standard dumb strips you can use a LOR DC controller. They are usually 12v DC and take 3 channels per strip.(1 Red 1 Green 1 Blue) They usually have common positive connection (black wire)
Dennis Cherry
LOR Manual for the CMB-16 units is: Logic power supply voltage 12 volts DC (not needed if channels 1-8 input >= 12 V) Switched voltage = 5 to 60 VDC You can also use two different DC voltages, Bank 1-8 can be one and 9-126 could be another also.
