Where to start

Hi all, I am new to all this stuff and really want to give my Christmas house something special next year.

I have seen the "Spiral Trees" and really like them.

I want to start with 1 tree about 6 to 8 foot tall.

I would rather not use a computer (at first) so, my question is this:

If I buy one of the Showtime centrals

and one of the Residential light controllers......

Will that be enough to make my little tree dance?

:)

ANY other suggestions would be great!!!!

Thank you in advance for your help!

So far......46 views but no Replies....... :(

I don't have a lot of money, and I don't want to start off by buying the wrong things....

But I want to be able to add to it in the future, every year something new.....

Can someone let me know if my plan (above) will work or not?!?

Thanks?

Jeremy

16 channels, while a small number, is more than enough to create amazing displays. 16 channels on a spiral tree should go a long way.

Thanks Don!

So its one Showtime Centrals and one Residential Light Controllers it is!

So now starts the fun part, Building the tree and buying the lights for it!

They are all on sale now so I better hurry!

I am starting now in hopes that I can have it done by next Christmas!   :)

Glad to hear you are thinking about becoming a holiday lighting addict. You are also right about the cost, it can quickly become very expensive. To get you off on the right foot I have a Showtime mp3 director unit that I am no longer using. You need a computer to program it but it will run the show on its own. I used it my first year and it worked great every night. You can have it free of charge just send me a private reply with your address and I will send it out with the directions. Maybe that will allow you to buy an extra controller your first year. The only thing I ask is that you promise to put on a good show. There is nothing better than sitting out and overhear people who are watching your show say this is their new holiday tradition
