otisriggs
Does the controller need to be hooked up to the pc for me to check my triac leakage or can I just plug it in to the electric and test my channels?
DevMike
You should have it connected to the computer as well. That way you can use the Hardware Utility's Test Console to turn on/off the channel you think is bad.
otisriggs
Thank you for the answer. I just thought it would work without the pc because when I wasn't running my show this year, the pc was off and I still had some channels glowing over night. wmilkie
that would probably be the leakage you were seeing, but by using the Hardware Utility, you can turn each channel on/off and control intensity; so you'll have a lot more control using a computer
