averythomas Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I have this RDS encoder: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/181936628645?item=181936628645&lgeo=1&vectorid=229508&rmvSB=true And this FM transmitter: http://www.amazon.com/0-5-Fail-Safe-Long-Range-Transmitter/dp/B003FO4UHW/ref=sr_1_19?s=mp3&ie=UTF8&qid=1448932987&sr=1-19 The only problem is that the encoder only has one input and output, is it possible to still hear stereo instead on mono?
Old Sarge Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 the Fail Safe will transmit in stereo if that is what you are feeding into it. If you are using the small cable look at it... if it is a stereo cable it will have three seperated sections on the plug, one is common ground others are left and right channels... if you are using the RCA jacks... one is left channel other is right channel... again.. thats stereo.. as for as the encoder goes... I have no idea about that.. Read your paper work on it. or the specs.. reading the page about it it says on it it is stereo... so there is your answer... if you use the Fail Safe you just plug it into the speaker output for your head phones and its ready to go... remember to make sure you have the antenna connected before powering it on or you will burn it out.. also it has 2 power settings... low is what you probably want to use so you dont get into trouble..
