How do I "configure" this device? I connect to 20 pin connector....then how is that assigned?

There is no configuration of the connector. Once you connect it to the controller, it's ready to go. You can test the triggers you build with the Hardware Utility which will let you make sure your trigger is working properly.

 

You assign the trigger to be used when building the show in the Show Editor.
