fulldeck
Been doing lights to music since 2006 with simple 32 channel controllers. Last year I didn't do lights but since have invested in the RGB lights by getting a CMB24D w/8 dumb RGB strips and 4 CCPixel 100 controllers. I opted for CCPs because they are 3 dimensional but most of the tutorials are related to CCRs. This year I have targeted one song (Galloping Jingle Bells just in case I want to buy pre-made sequence). My plan was to create the visualization first. Once that is done import configuration into Superstar to work the megatree and then import into standard sequencer to do the rest of the standard / rgb lights. My problem is that I'm struggling on how to create the CCP tree in the visualizer. I see the 24 strand version in the samples but cannot figure out for the life of me how to create a 16 strand version for CCPs. Any help would be appreciated. fulldeck
I guess my core struggle is my CCP setup has 8 strands of 50 which will be run as 2 strings of 25 (similar to the 24x25Tree_4RowGlobe.lee but only 16 strands). Moreover I also noticed it looks like I have to make special comment notations for importing this into superstar so the morphing tools work. I'm sure it is something simple and trivial like a checkbox but I'm trying to avoid editting the xml so I can figure out how to do it properly. fulldeck
I think I figured it out, but not certain on how it will fly in Superstar, but to create visualization I had to: After you click on the Mega Tree Wizard, on the first screen I had to enter the Key Settings: Type of Channel Bundles / Fixtures: CCR Edge to Center / Center to Edge Pixels per Bundle (CCR): 25 Number of Bundles / Fixtures: 16 (# of 25 pixel strands) Then after you click OK, on the New/Existing Fixture screen, you need to switch to choice #3 (Show me base CCR .... ) and click OK through 8 fixtures After that, then you simply do Channel Wizard as before to assign to controllers. Ron Boyd
Make a post in the Superstar forum and link to this one. Brian usually looks at that forum several times a day. He can probably steer you in the right direction.
