Gworkin
Hello I'm looking at buying some dumb LEDs and a few dmx controllers from HolidayCoro.com. I'm having trouble understanding the requirements from Light O Rama. I have been looking at the basic 3 channel RGB dmx controller and the PC based programmer dongle that codes it. The video with the products show it being used in LOR but in small print it says that it won't work with LOR. If anyone could help that would be great thank you. The photos attached are the products I'm looking at.
Ron Boyd
The PC based programmer dongle that codes it is what will not work with LOR. This is used to set up the controller. You'll need to get the Actidongle http://www.holidaycoro.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=actidongle&Search.x=0&Search.y=0&click=670 from David too. This will give you a full Universe (170 RGB Channels or 510 total) of RGB. Edited April 24, 2014 by Ron Boyd
Gworkin
Thank you so if I bought this actidongle do I still have to buy the programmer?
Ron Boyd
Yeah, the programmer sets the start channel of the controller. You only need 1 and can set the channel of all you buy. I have 1 for all of my TinyPix controllers Edited April 25, 2014 by Ron Boyd
