PC to controller failed

I am a newbie but have been successfully playing with my new controller and writing and playing sequences for a couple of weeks, nut today no light will come on.  the LED light in the controller is green and everything else seems unchanged.  any help greatly appreciated.

Is control lights checked? If you worked without the USB-485 adapter plugged in, it will uncheck and stay that way.

If that doesn't do it, have you checked things by trying to control them by the hardware utility?
