starmatter
This question might have been answered already, but I have been unable to locate it in the forum. I have purchased new RGB-Flood-10W from LOR with the CMB24D controller. I need to know the maximum recommended length that the 4 core extensions can be. They came with 16' cords, but I'm going to need to go closer to 30'+. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Starmatter
starmatter
Just to follow up with some information I have received. If you're using 18 gauge wire you should be good up to about 100 feet before seeing any drop in intensity. Thanks you Chuck for the information. Santas Helper
Starmatter,Welcome to the forum. I'm running cat5 cable to power my 10W LED RGB Floods at around 30' + and have no signs of delay or problems.I hacked my floods and using cat5 cable to run all three colors/channels per flood. Max-Paul
But Santa, That is a 8 conductor cable. He has cores. I dont know what the conversion is between cores and conductors but I think he has more than you. Or should I say cores sound more important than conductors. You know, like more rank or something..
