other hobbies

Lets see... I'm a younger guy (31) who thinks he can still burn his candle at both ends... So, my hobbies are:

-- Motorcycles... I ride every chance I get; heres mine: http://nurples.com/Bike.jpg

-- Car audio compitions... i don't do these anymore, but still have tons of equipment laying around. (Yup, I was the guy who had $5k worht of equipment in a $1k car.) :D Not anymore...

-- Web Development... Although I make a good bit of money from it, I do it as a hobby. Being military, I have a lot of down time, so I code while waiting. (Hurry up and wait! <-- our favorite motto)

-- BBQin / Entertaining... I'd say every weekend we have 10~20 people over for a BBQ. We love it! Nothing like BBQing and drinking with friends.

-- Salt / Fresh water fish... At one point we had 6 tanks running in the house (mainly fresh water). We now only have one 92 Gal Saltwater tank. (Since I'm moving after the new year, we may not do fish anymore after that).

Yep... I think that covers them... I'm sure there are other costly hobbys my wife complains about, but that's most of them. :)

Oh, I also LOVE amusement parks, arcades, and casinos. I can't get enough of them. I go every chance I get! :)

1978 Monte Carlo....I used to work for GM and we built those, I'm surprised that one of them is still running.

But a 1972 Monte Carlo...now we're talking. I still love mine

Duh, I forgot to mention my "toy" truck.
It's not a nicely restored Monte, but ... it is a Chevy.
My 98 Silverado, it's been tweaked from it's factory 255 hp up to 400, and in case of emergency it has a 150 nos kit on it. Last 1/4 run was 13.8 with loosing traction through first and second. 1036451.jpg
This is an old Photo, but other than chrome rims and 37" tires it looks about the same.

13.8 is fast for that size truck. I had a 97 s 10 with a small block it only ran 13.90's

Nurples: You still got your hearing? Back in my day, I had a Dodge Aspen Wagon with a pair of large Peavey band speakers in back powered by a cheap 40W booster equilizer and you could tell what I was playing two blocks away!

Dan C: Nice work on the computer cases. Just in case you haven't seen this:

I have some doubts about the fans though. I tried building an enclosed fan in mineral oil and the fan pulsed instead of continuously running.

I've seen your basement pics in the past and just makes me want to druel. :)

Still got my hearing, but I do have a constant ringing in my ears. I rarely ever hear silence.

I had 4 (12") Rockford T1's with 4 Alpine V12 MRV1505, 1500 watt amps in a 98 Blazer. Quite the overkill... It would hit around 150Db. It had potential to go louder, but by IASCA regulations, I could only have two batteries in my class. So I would run out of power before the amps could reach max output.

I still have the speakers in a box and one amp left if anyone in NY is intrested... They are for sale. :)
