-klb-
I'm probably in the minority on this first point, but most of my molex connections are 2 pin connectors. I use them for my DC extension cords....The ones that I do have with AC are 36 position connectors, with 32 conductor cable. Each channel has its own hot and neutral. Among other advantages, I don't have to wire all the neutrals together at the utilization end!
cenote
Depends on the application. I do both on wiring neutrals. I try not to go much more than 75% of what the wire gauge is recommended for amps.Ex: I have 16 mini trees, Each mini tree pulls only .3 amps. So at max, it would only draw only 5 amps. So I have a common neutral for all of them using 16g wire, and the "hot" side I am using 20g wire for each channel. Yes it is a custom cord I made with a female plug every 3 feet on it.
