Building cat5e Cables

I will agree that cat 5, 5e, or 6 doesn't make any difference for LOR. Even cat 3 will have much better noise rejection ability than silver satin phone cord, and LOR nearly always works fine on silver satin...

As an aside, with good quality cat 6 cable ends, and a $8,000 cable tester (Fluke DSP-4300 with Cat 6 patch cord heads) Cat 5E patch cable will generally build 10 foot patch cables that test to Cat 6 standards... While at the same time, ETL verified Cat 5E patch cables had (in my experience, with the above test equipment) as high as a 60% failure rate to test to Cat 5E standards.
