donnyaz Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 I have 1 box that if the power goes out when it comes back on it forget what box it is and I have to goto hardware and tell it to turn any unit on the network unit 3 other wise it says there is no hardware. I tried a firmware update but the problem still happens. Is there a chip I can replace or somthing ?
cmoore60 Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 CTB16 standard or CTB16 Deluxe?CTB16 would need the jumper on the header to keep the address.CTB16D would have the dials and will NOT need the jumper.Chuck
-klb- Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 On the deluxe cards, the hardware utility can over ride what the ID switches are set to, but they will revert to how the switches are set next time power is applied. You should set the ID with the two little white dials next to the RJ-45 jacks. Note that there is a little pointer on the dial about 90 degrees from the screwdriver slot.
DanR Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 I had a similar problem. Try shutting the power off and turning the ID switches in complete circles for a couple of revs. Then set the switches to the ID you want and turn the power back on.It seems there is a problem with the contacts on the switches. Spinning them a couple of times seems to clear up the problem.Dan
