I've been buying 1602W's since 2006 and to my knowledge, I only have "Blue Boards". Not to be confused with...well...never mind.Anyway, I was wondering where the "Green Boards" were and what their manufacture dates were? -klb- Posted October 24, 2009 Share Posted October 24, 2009 To date, the PC series cards only appear to have two hardware revisions, and they both accept the same firmware. I have only used a couple of 1602W's, and have not looked at the hardware version numbers. However, the 1602W's use the CTB16D cards, and at some point in time, one of the hardware revisions to the CTB16D required a change in the way the firmware controlled the hardware. In order to make it evident to the users which version of the hardware they had, they changed the color of the solder mask applied to the cards.
