aemnky Posted May 5, 2009 Share Posted May 5, 2009 I just finnished puting my controlers together (CTB16PC and i did not solder anything) and started to test them and one of them the LED does not light up at all and the transformer and the componets to the left (with the heat sinks) of the get so hot it burns me and smells bad. -klb- Posted May 5, 2009 Share Posted May 5, 2009 Check for any loose metal items that may have become lodged on the board, or under the board, shorting things out.If you are comfortable checking it out, look at the orientation of the two socketed ICs at the top of the board. The one just under the RJ-45 jacks should have the pin 1 mark to the right, and the 8 pin one to the left of the jacks should have pin 1 to the left.But really, beyond looking for something that got stuck on the board and shorting it, I really think you are at the point of sending an email, or calling LOR support.
