cmoore60 Posted December 21, 2008 Share Posted December 21, 2008 Try resetting your controller(s).I read in another thread that a person was having issues with controllers not communicating and the reset took care of the problem. cmoore60 Posted December 21, 2008 Share Posted December 21, 2008 The SC485 is powered from the first controller. The distance for the cable should be NO MORE than 100ft. Your comm port is defined for this based on the serial port of your computer that the SC485 is attached to. Might try confirming that the cable is plugged in firmly to the adapter and the controller. What type of cable are you using?If using a Cat5 cable then you could try the other port on the controller.
