SnappyTom Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Hi all....Ok I got my new 48 channel from WOW today! Now the fun starts. In the hardware utility I Id the 3 controllers one at a time. they all worked in the test mode. I then connected them via cat5 cables. I refreshed and all were Identified. When I pluged a couple lights in each controller and played a sequence, only one controller would activate lights. I went into the sequence editor and checked the amout of controller and 16 was picked. Now there is not an option to enter 48. Any Ideas?
displaysinmotion_will Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 if i am understanding you correctly you have 3 16 channel boards correct?in order for them to show up correctly each one has to have its own unique numberexample01-1 through 01-1602-1 through 02-1603-1 through 03-16ora1-1 through a1-16a2-1 through a2-16a3-1 through a3-16everything is in 16 incrementsso after your first board of 16 you start over again
SnappyTom Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Yes all have a differant id 1, 2, 3. and they are identified in the network as 3 differandt controllers
SnappyTom Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Humm???....Am I suposed to put "1 through 16" anywhere? I ID them as 1, 2, 3, only.?
displaysinmotion_will Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 what about your sequence editor does it look like this?'>pic
SnappyTom Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Yes it has 48 channels but with differant names on them.
SnappyTom Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 You Know I dont remember is the channels were labled like your picture.
displaysinmotion_will Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 i understand that you may have different names but when using the sequence editorthe way that you specify what is what is by your unit number, for example: see the picture'>pic
SnappyTom Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Oh Yes I spent 6 days on one sequence and each is assigned to the correct channel. Each work well in the while viewing in the animation.

SnappyTom Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Ok looking at my sequence the first channel is Unit 1 circuit 1, second Unit 1 circuit 2 and so on.
SnappyTom Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Is there a detailed instructions for the last picture you sent? Unit numbers and circuits?

SnappyTom Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Ok so when I changed the numbers it changed the names. So change them back to the correct names?
SnappyTom Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Thank for the help I will check back in the morning.
displaysinmotion_will Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 so lets rewind a little bit, when you first started did you select 48 channels asyour circuit count'>pic
cmoore60 Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 You can get a full listing if you have S2 as the software package to go to tools, channel property grid. This will even allow you to print it out. Much easier to configure additional channels here than one at a time.Chuck
