cm11599ps Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Do I need the special DMX adapter for LOR or can I use my current dmx/usb box?
Steve Constantino Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Right now you need a, iDMX1000 to control any DMX device with LOR software. LOR does not support any other converters. Maybe some day they will support USB/DMX converters or even better support for Artnet.Steve
-klb- Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Or are you asking what it takes to use LOR on a DMX network?
-klb- Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 If you want to use the LOR software to control LOR hardware you need on of the LOR USB-RS485 adapters... If you want to use LOR software to control DMX, you need that plus one or more iDMX units. If you want to use some DMX control panel, or DMX automation software to control LOR boxes, you need all the stuff to get signals down a DMX cable, plus the adapter to go from standard DMX cables to the LOR proprietary pinout on the RJ-45 connector...
