JerryB
The DMX 1-5 is the sandisk controller I used in the past was connected during the show this last year and worked fine but I want to replace it with the LOR-Pixcon16 I purchased a while back. When I connect the pixcon16 to the same connector on the back of the computer and start the control panel to configure the board it is not found. I tried changing the network to match what shows in the pixcon 16 utility but that didn't help and I can't change the adapter in the utility to match the network setting. I assume I am missing something simple (at least so I hope), any help to get the card to connect would be appreciated. Software : 6.1.6 pixcon16 v1.
Don
I wouldn't be using a 169.254.00/16 address (which is what you have showing) for your network adapter address. I'd pick something in the RFC1918 space. 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255 (10/8 prefix) 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255 (172.16/12 prefix) 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255 (192.168/16 prefix)

Mr. P
You have to go in to the ethernet settings on your computer and change the IP. The Pixcon16 IP defaults to 192.168.0.50 so you need the ethernet port in the 192.168.0.??? range to even see it. Also keep in mind that the Pixcon16 requires a Pro License to operate correctly. TheDucks
There is a way to have 2 IP assigned to the same adapter in Windows, but it may bey way more complicated' There is a tab on the IP V4 Properties: Alternate Configuration

Wont it at least find the controller with an advanced license? I thought that was just for some capabilities of the card. Beginning to think buying this card was a mistake Edited January 10, 2023 by JerryB

Beginning to think buying this card was a mistake Yes but you need to get the computers ethernet port in the same IP subnet, 192.168.0.xxx, as the Pixcon16 or it won't find it. Change your computers ethernet port IP to something like 192.168.0.1 and then hit the Find Pixcon button and it will locate the Pixcon. Then you can configure the PIxcon any way you like. If you keep the Pixcon16 on a E1.31 network then the Advanced license will work. However, if you use it on a LOR network then it must be an Enhanced network (ELOR) and you only get that with a Pro license.
