CCR ribbons

Can the CCR ribbons be shortened?  I was looking at using them inside tubing for arches.  If so is there any videos detailing how to do this?  So far I have been unable to find anything definite

You know you can now buy 8 ft 2811 strips from vendors   Wired Watts is one and also Wallys lights

Remember, cutting will void any warranty, and if they are in a silicone tube you will have to deal with resealing them.

I recently bought some of the 2.5 meter strips from Wired Watts that are made specifically for arches.  Perfect length for my arches.  The ones I bought were 60 pixel per meter and they are solid filled.

I bought my 2.5 2811 meter strips frow Wallys lights much better then cutting and trying to seal the connection.

Are these replacement for the Classic CCR ribbons? (different connector, but I can change that) I do have two CCR ribbons that need to be replaced.

The Wired Watts ribbons are ws2815 (three wire) and the original CCRs are LPD6803 (four wire).
