CCR Matrix Help Sequencing and Set Up

I have a CCR with 2 ribbons of 50 pix each. Luckily its not in my show as I'm new to the pixel thing so giving it time to figure out. I put the two ribbons on a peg board and have 4 folds in each ribbon. I thought I could get the two ribbons to act as one matrix so I could do some of those standard effects but I cant seem to get the two to work together. They are working independent of each other. I tried setting it up as 1 ID with two strings (1-150 and the other at 161-310) and I couldn't get the 2nd string to work. I then switched it to 2 ID's with each running 1-150 and I can get them to show lights but nothing close to what I'm supposed to see based on the show effect. Can anyone help?

(secondary question) = I cant really fold the ribbon to make it look clean. Is there any way for me to tell the program where I folded the ribbons and to not show certain pixels?

 

I have the latest version of S5 as I just bought it about a month ago.
