S5 questions channel layout

Ah, thanks for the clarification.  I agree that I would also like to remotely watch the show while it is running to help discern problems/issues.  Of course this would be very difficult in my setup since I use a Director rather than my computer to run the show.

So question. 

How do you delete channels in the track itself. I got the preview deletion part, but the channel I want to get rid of, is still in the track.

Not sure exactly what you mean, but one action in S5 under the "Sequence" menu selection near the top left is to select the "@ Manage Archived Props", and remove any channels here that you no longer require.

I could, but for some reason a few would not go away. What I did do was get my preview straightened out, create a new musical sequence, open the old one with the error and cut/paste.

Probably not the best solution, or efficient, but it worked.
