toymakr000
This year I ordered 6 more CTB16PC kits for my display. So far I've built 4 CTB16D's and 2CTV16PC's for the past two years' displays. With those I assembled them one at a time, getting one done before I started another. This time I'm building all 6 kits simultaneously. I'm stuffing the parts for step 1 first into all the boards, then soldering all the step 1 connections, then moving on to step 2 and so on...I'm hoping that I'll be more efficient this way. So far it seems easier and quicker. What do you think about this method? It's too late to change, I was just wondering if anyone else has assembled this way? Richard Hamilton
Since you have some experience, perhaps you will be ok doing 6 at once.I would have built and tested one first, then built the other 5 simulteanously. I wouldn't want to make the same critical mistake 6 times. A couple years ago. I knew a person who mounted all of the triacs incorrectly and blew out his board. toymakr000
I've done 6 kits already and "shouldn't" make any rookie mistakes....Actually the last 4 I built I had Zero problems and they fired right up!!!
Dr. Jones
I build three at a time ( all the room my bench has otherwise i would do more)
toymakr000
Update...... 1/2 way done with all 6. Two stuffing sessions in front of the TV (45 minutes each) and two lunch-hours soldering at work;)
