Windows 10 Home Windows 10 S Windows 10 Pro IF your thinking about buying a laptop from Microsoft, please be aware that anything running Windows 10 S will only run apps from their app store. This version has caused more software troubles for people than any in the past. Buyer beware!! Now, let me shed some light on why a new user might all the sudden work when an old one may not. Over my 20+ years of IT work, I have seen a couple of machines that kept corrupting the users profile (when you create a user, each user gets a new directory in the system or "profile"). Unfortunately, there is no clear way to fix it. Reinstall might work, upgrading to the newest version of windows has helped some. The clue to look for is if your logging in as a "Temp" user.
