I have a alphapix 16 controller and it has a red and green test mode that has every other bulb the opposite color and it changes back and forth. I am trying to recreate this in pixel editor with blue and white but cant figure out what effect to use to do this.

Mitch try this. In pixel editor. Effect generater . Select bars.  Select. Colors. Red.  Green.  Select palette repeate. Move slider towards  5 till you get every other bulb red and green.

The problem with bars is it will only reduce down to about 4 bulbs and not every other bulb.

Not true because I did every other bulb before I sent you info ,  what does your prop layout look like?

I can't get a screen shot with a file size small enough but in effect generator I have bars selected with red and green direction right palette repeat set at 5 speed of 4 to 4 and center of 0 and no changes to mixer. At this there are about 5 lights red in a row.

The prop is a roof eave with 88 bulbs

I got it working with lines vertical.
