DC-MP3 vs. Mini Director

I am planning on a Halloween display with a couple of motion detectors to activate strobes, lights and sounds. I am planning on having each "show" only be about 20 seconds longs or so, and have 2 separate "shows".

So here's the questions.
1. Can I do this with 2 DC-MP3 directors cards connected to 2 controllers each with the pre-loaded show?
2. If so, what is the difference between:
a. LOR DC-MP3 (Light-O-Rama Director Card with MP3 Player and the
b. The mDC-MP3(mini Director Card with MP3 Player.
3. Will either work with a CTB-16PC or do they only work with CTB-16D?
4. Do they both have the same external triggers to start the show?


By the description, they look like they do the same thing, just the mini is smaller/less.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can do this with 1 card just 2 shows.

The DC-MP3 can support 2 more triggers and has a timmer built in.

3. Will either work with a CTB-16PC or do they only work with CTB-16D?

Yes works with ALL LOR boards.


4. Do they both have the same external triggers to start the show?

No Mini - 4 Full - 6 / Mini Screw terminal Full Header Pins


Both manuels have a good write up on this. I have both directors and LOVE them.
