I did not build this spiral tree with a center pole since it's only 6.5 feet tall, so I don't know how to mount the star on top of the tree. Then drill two end mounting holes and a center star mount hole through a scrap flat piece of sturdy metal. Or shallow strut like I've pictured. Run some long bolts through to hold it altogether.
