redefine matrix prop and retain effects/programming?

Hopefully a simple question.

I have a matrix that consists of 2 "panels" physically. The installers installed them backwards, meaning that the left and right are switched. 
Since this matrix is made of 2- 6x12 foot panels and hangs on the side of a building, moving the hardware isn't ideal right now.

 

Can I change the prop definition on the sequence we used last year and have all the effects render properly or would I need to re-generate and re-add the effects? AKA start over

Note: We use the PE only for this prop. All other lights are programmed via the SE.

I'm thinking that since the prop definition, previews, and sequencing in PE are all separate I should be able to change the prop definition(and then export the LID) 

 

Am I off base or is it going to be easier to move the panels?
