drmoon68
You will need to download the beta version to get to V4.3.16. I had the same problem. V4.3.14 does not support the Pixie16. http://forums.lightorama.com/index.php?/topic/41596-light-o-rama-version-4316-released-as-an-open-beta/
bktalon
Thanks much, that fixed the unknown device problem, now I still have 1 more problem, the power is on all the time, no matter where I plug my lights in, they are on. I waited a very long time to get this unit as it was back stocked, I hope the board isnt junk

Mr. P
Sounds like you have dumb strips. Look closely at the strip by the copper contacts. If there are four are they labeled 12+, R, G, B.
bktalon
yes thats how they are labeled
Mr. P
Then you have dumb strips, the pixie uses smart strips so you will have to get different lights.

Mr. P
Just a suggestion, look for ws2811 lights and make sure you get them in the proper voltage you are running, 5v or 12v.

Mr. P
Keep in mind that you will have to change your sequencing as smart pixels use way more channels then dumb pixels. Smart pixels use three channels for each led on the strip whereas dumb pixels will use three channels for entire strip.
bktalon
havent even started to adapt the new rgb to our sequences yet lol, really going to be burning the candle on this years display, we light up 1 week from tonight
