bobschm
I have a Sandevices board, a Holidaycoro board, a Servodog board, and several LOR boards. Is it best to put a timer on them, or leave them powered 24-7 during the season? Is it potentially harmful to leave them powered when not in use? Discuss! Mr. P
Leave them on. Mine have been on since Oct 15 and will turn off Jan 1. Edited November 15, 2016 by Mr. P
Santas Helper
I do the same as Mr. P, exceptions for me are, I turn off power and unplug cat5 cables during thunderstorms as my 33' mega tree can be a lightning rod and ice storms which could cause power surges. k6ccc
Leave them on. More likely to cause failure (particularly with power supplies) during power up. My Christmas stuff stays powered for a couple months, and the year round stuff essentially never gets powered off.
