DMX Demo

Here's a short demo and LOR sequence that shows some DMX programming. This was requested in a different thread, but I thought it made the most sense to post it here. I used a Chauvet Q-spot575 and Chauvet minWash in this clip. Since I only have a digital camera, the color and quality is not great. The minwash is bright enough the colors wash out on the video. Please note the sound is loud if you have your volume turned up high. I left on the sound so you can hear the roaring fans. If you listen carefully, you can even hear the various wheels (color, gobo, prism) spinning in the 575. These things are not very quiet!

DMX - The video
LOR Screen with DMX - My attempt to capture both the LOR screen and the DMX fixtures so you can see the programming.
DMX.las - The LOR sequence that is playing
minwash_UG.pdf - Minwash user guide
Q-SPOT575_UG.pdf - Qspot575 user quide

I included the two user guides so you can look up the DMX programming values if you like. The table is in the last 1/4 or so of the PDF.

Please note, this is a S2 file. LOR1 will not open it. Also, when I tried to save the file, my XP tries to save it as a CDF file. Make sure you save the file as a .LAS

Thank you for the demonstration! Seeing the videos and the program answers some of my questions. I have been looking into getting some DMX fixtures for my display this year. Found this thing:

but I don't think the wife will spring for the price tag. LOL Although it would be awesome

Look at Chauvet's 200B color washes. They are pretty powerful I hear, but I don't have any yet. I haven't decided if I want to use MinWashes or 200Bs instead of floodlights light year. I'll need about 6 of one of them.

Now that's what I'm talking about. It would be a nice addition to the display.

I guess I'll stick to the colorsplash lights.
