not enuf fuses
I've recently acquired two CG-2000 enclosures but they didn't come with any strain relief components. Does anyone know where i can get them? I didn't see a listing for them on the LOR website.
Mr. P
When I buy my boxes I usually just go to Lowes or Home Depot and purchase the conduit ones, drill and install myself. http://www.lowes.com/pd_45176-15527-49660___?productId=1087283&pl=1&Ntt=conduit+connectors

jamills706
Those cable clamping connectors aren't waterproof though....or am I missing something? In my CG-2000's I used cable ties screwed to the screw posts inside the box for strain relief and brought them out the "wearherproof" sponges on the bottom of the CG-2000. Always looking for a better idea if I can find it though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mr. P
The connectors are die-cast zinc so corrosion is a minimum, I have had mine on 4 years so far with no problem. Unless you are talking water entry but then again my boxes stand upright. Edited June 21, 2016 by Mr. P
George Simmons
The CG 2000 is my personal favorite for CTB16PC, CMB24D and Pixcon16. I also use zip ties for strain relief. They work just fine at about a penny each.
jamills706
Yep - I meant water entry - so I assume you must drill the holes and install the connectors in the bottom of it.
not enuf fuses
I wound up using cable ties with sticky back mounts. So far, so good.
Vince4xmas
I too just used zip ties as enclosures are on stands about 2' of the ground so water entry is not a concern. Zip ties hold cables/wires tight in enclosure to prevent any cable/wire pulling concerns.
