bobschm
I have a long thin matrix of pixicles. I'm wondering if it can be made to behave like a VU meter indicating the volume of the music. I'm thinking a curtain effect set to right/close_then_open/once_at_duration and the right to left width controlled (or manually programmed) by the volume of the music somehow. In other words, I'd need to control how far the curtain opens. Currently it opens the full width of the matrix every time. I suppose I could do this by making lots and lots and lots of groups of different numbers of individual pixicles, but that will get insanely complicated. A width parameter would help. This is where I wish there was a way for users to fiddle with creating effects.

Dennis Laff
I asked Matt to create a VU meter effect in the Pixel Editor a few months ago he said he would consider it .
