JHolmes Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Hey there are buttons on the Show Director Standalone unit and I was hoping they could be used to activate different shows on the SD card. Anyone tried this?My primary use is I want a static show as Show 2 and a musical show as Show 1. Triggers aren't an option but being able to use the push buttons would be great. The manual suggests it's possible but I didn't quite understand.
Eric walls Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I think you have to program all that with the hardware utility and write it on the card. The director will play the shows in order. I did my regular show for Christmas lights and then my Show 2 was for New Years Eve.Never used the buttons on the unit but I think they're for setting the clock.
EmmienLightFan Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Unplug it, switch the SD card for another one with another show loaded on already, and plug back in.
JHolmes Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 Ok thank you. Any of you have experience writing the SD card files to your C: drive instead?I ask because I want to email some files to a client since it'll be faster than sending him a new card.
Grinch Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 It will need to write to the SD card because it will delete what is there first then write the new show.I have not tried this but I don't know why you couldn't write to the card then copy them off and send by email
EmmienLightFan Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Send the sequences then put it on the card on the recipient's PC. You could use join.me if they don't know how.
