EmmienLightFan Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Can I only pick two different SPI data types on the Pixcon16 or can I control each output individually?
KStatefan Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Can I only pick two different SPI data types on the Pixcon16 or can I control each output individually? I thought they all had to be the same chip type.
Mr. P Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 I believe it is one chip type and two voltages.
EmmienLightFan Posted December 23, 2015 Author Posted December 23, 2015 Oh. That is slightly annoying but I have a Pixlite 4 then. Is 6803IC the same as WS2801? I thought it was but now I am starting to think that I am wrong.
indi Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 I know you can't mix different pixel types, but can I us ws2811 nodes and ws2811 ribbons if they are the same voltage?

wbaker4 Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Not all Ws2811's are created alike. Some controllers will allow the configuration of different pixel types on groups of channels. Some 2811's work as 1804's.
