jamills706
I got several xenon strobes with C9 bases and they are disappointingly dim. Can't even see them when the CCRs are lit. I have them in the middle of my 9-CCR half-tree. What kind or where does one get strobes that really have some power? Thanks
Dennis Laff
Are you sure you didn't get led strobes because I have xenon strobes and their really bright
jamills706
They said they were xenon. Is there an easy way to tell looking at the bulb? On the base of the bulb it says: "IP44 4-6W" and there is a little triangle with a small line, too. http://www.thechristmaslightemporium.com/shop/christmas-lights/c9-strobe-lights/c9-strobe-light-clear-incandescent-180-flashes-per-second/?gclid=Cj0KEQiA7rmzBRDezri2r6bz1qYBEiQAg-YEtlw5E9paBud9jBxWpJGCBROsD9LvZvl-wpD7XQOVBzwaAqvr8P8HAQ Edited December 15, 2015 by jamills706

mcha
What is the difference between the U and I strobe? I assume the Xenon is brighter and white would be the most popular color.
Steven
A xenon strobe will make an audible "click" on each flash. If you can't hear these clicks from 10 feet away, then you either have LED strobes, or you have really weak xenon strobes.
mcha
Thanks Steven. Is there a way to tell what you are getting from a power standpoint? Looking at websites for purchasing doesn't give a whole lot on detailed description.
