philnuffer
The paint on the bulb of cheap blue lights burns off in a year or so and then you have to replace the strings. Go LED. Expensive, but saving in electricity and string replacement over the years.

caniac
The blue incan came out really good but I'll buy some blue leds after xmas for next yearIf you can put it in your budget I would personally recommend C7 Blue LED, I did red, green, and white on mine this year (four strands per channel). They are big enough without being too big and add a lot of pop. Your display will be able to be seen from space.

jrock_at_rons
I did blue led m6. It looks incredible. I also heeded Mr. Simmons recommendation and did a spiral. Highlight of the show this year.
