CCR at 500k

Does it make sense that one of my CCRs will not run at 500k? I have two side by side, One is 2 1/2 years old, one is from this past spring. When I changed to 500k the older one will not work. One  light steady the other flashing. The signal goes through to following controllers fine. When I change back to 57k it starts working again. I do have the red adapter. Any thoughts?

Yes, the older CCRs needs a firmware update.
