Smithbuilt
Please, what am I missing. I have cut a ribbon, soldered in an automotive 4 pin water proof connector with about 16" now between the ribbon halves. I can't get the second half to operate. It will light up but it stays on. I've tried 2 different ribbons and both times the second half doesn't operate. I know they both worked before cutting them. There is no solder across points. I've even tried connecting a second half directly to the CCR controller and it works fine, but it wasn't working after the connector. Just with a meter I see no resistance across the connector on any wire. Yes, each wire is connected to the proper adjoining points. I guess it could be the connectors, but I've tried two different sets on 2 separate ribbons???? Any thoughts?? I am not an electronics guy, so this is a learning experience. Thank you,

Smithbuilt
Smart. Actual CCRs. I also have some I bought from AliExpress with the same chip, but they already had connector on each end. So I just cut them in the middle and soldered an LOR wire w connector to one end. These worked fine.
