sonoma
Just starting to learn smart pixels and I have a question; If I were to start a new sequence with 150 DMX channels is there a way to auto-populate there channel numbers from 1-150 or are they entered manually? Ron Boyd
Left click on the last channel in your config-->select "Insert Device"--> Select "Insert Device Below"-->Name your element (i.e. Roofline, Bush, whatever describes your element)-->Select "DMX Universe"-->Select Universe Number-->Click the RGB Channels circle--> select 150 Pixels (450 total channels) or 50 Pixels (150 total channels) which ever the case may be.and then, select OK. Done. Edited September 28, 2015 by Ron Boyd
jerrymac
If you make a mistake and they don't come out right, convert them to a group, then delete the group and start over.

Ron Boyd
Yeah, I'm a knucklehead, I did mean right click. If you don't have the RGB in the selections, (4.2 version, I think) then you'll have to convert them to RGB channels. Same procedure as above, RIGHT click and select "Convert to RGB Channel" If they are all on the same element or prop, select do this for multiple channels and put in the total Pixel #. (Although, they don't have to be on the same prop to use this) Just convert as many pixels as you want named the same thing. Just as a side note, I label mine as this example:16 x 50 Leg #1 p. If the "p" is not there, the software will label each pixel like this:16 x 50 Leg #1116 x 50 Leg #1216 x 50 Leg #13 etc. If the "p" is there, the software will label each pixel like this:16 x 50 Leg #1 p116 x 50 Leg #1 p216 x 50 Leg #1 p3 etc. It's just easier to know exactly where I am when I'm looking at 40 or 50 pixels on my screen. Sorry about the left click, right click, ron you say left click do you mean right click.when i right click i can do all those but i have no RGB circle to check. therefor it builds the sequence as regular LOR channels . comment above.
