It seems that the general consensus of the forum is that the xenon U tubes have the most pop. I have both U tubes and I tubes, not interested in any more I tubes but I'll use them until they fail.... On my website, in the How-To page, I put together a tutorial on Xenon strobes, prepping, maintaining and fixing.
