Marty Belisle
Added 400 CCBs to my display this year and was totally impressed with the look and function. Unfortunately it appears that on two strings I have one pixel that has a color led out. One string is the blue led and one is the green led. I was looking to cut out and replace the whole bulb as I have spares. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a connector (solder or solderless) that has worked well for CCBs? k6ccc
Don't bother with a connector. Cut the bad pixel out and solder in a spare. Obviously make sure to get the wires lined up right. Tape or better yet heat shrink the connections after you solder it. When you are done, about the only way you will know it was repaired is a little lump with heat shrink tubing over it on either side of the replaced pixel.
