Smithbuilt
I came home yesterday and one ribbon was stuck on, for no reason. It had come on by itself. I tried powering off and on. And also a few re-sets. Today while looking for the problem a found that there was water wicking up the sleeve from the wired end of the ribbon. It is probably 2" up in. Will I be able to dry this out and still use the ribbon? Or is it finished? I see what looks like some corrosion around the first chips legs. Thank you,Greg Smith Edited December 27, 2014 by Smithbuilt
Don
Just a guess on my part ... you could try drying them out and seeing if they will make it the rest of the season. Might work. Might not. If you haven't modified them, then I would contact LOR via the help desk and talk to them about warranty repair.
Smithbuilt
To follow up with this problem, I did dry out the end and the ribbon did start to work properly again. I hated finishing the season missing half my arches, but all is good now.Thank you
