Im going to have to make the tree a little taller if this works.

Maybe it will look better, but I think you misunderstood what I was saying, they need to be more evenly spaced "out. Mark the bottom ring evenly into 8 section, then. That is where each strand should land. You won't get the spinning the way it is, will just look like it's going up and down

I had them close to even the first time about a foot apart but i did have a two foot gap because it only has 6 strings.

Here are our 54" tomato cage spirals with 6 strands of incandescent strings.

(We went with the right tree design since it looked more spiralling.)

I think you need to have them evenly spaced from top to bottom better. They look bunched up at the top.

This is the thread that inspired me to make six of these for this year...

Yea, just having the bottom spaced evenly didnt really work, ill try to space the top, the pex dosnt want to curve that tight im thinking about trying a heat gun.

Yes they have to be equally spaced through out, that's how you get that spinning effect. Like those mini trees a lot nice job jeff

I really like how the PEX looks... good luck using the heat!

I got the top to twist with heat, its not perfect but its closer than it was.

I still cant get the sequence just right though.

Looks way better!

Surprisingly to me, the twisting action seems better when I don't use fades... quick on/offs makes it easier to see. Give it a try. Oh, and get at least 10'-20' back when looking at your tree, imho up close it's hard to see the action.

Yea i haven't been using fades, ive tried it with one two and three cells overlapping in se (with a 0.05 timing) and about five cells lit at a time.
