carsonsig Posted December 2, 2014 Share Posted December 2, 2014 (edited) ok, got out my cables and whatnot to run my cat 5, and the USB485 converter is GONE. no clue where it went. it all goes in a bin.... AWOL. am I hosed? is there anything over the counter, computer store that can do this? I am running straight off a laptop, to 2 controllers daisy chained.. nothing wierd... any options? k6ccc Posted December 2, 2014 Share Posted December 2, 2014 I had 2 of the normal ones (only using 1) last two years. Knew I wanted to add another slow network and a 500k network for this year. Ordered two high speed USBs so not only would I have a spare, but it would be a high speed spare - which I could use for any of them. Now I do have another advantage in that I run lights year round so all three active USB adapters are hooked up all the time. At least I know where they are! Very cheap insurance.
