Using Dumb RGB Ribbons in Sequence Editor?

Hi, I'm planning on purchasing 5 Dumb RGB 150 LED Ribbons this year. Before I do that, I would like to mess around with the controls for them in the sequence editor. The only problem is I have no idea how to set up the editor to work with RGB Ribbons. Can someone please help? I've always just used standard Light-O-Rama before. Thanks!

You need to create RGB channels.  With dumb pixel strips they're always all the same color.  You'll need a separate RGB channel for each individual item you want to control independently.  For instance if you're wanting to be able to control a window and a door individually, that would require two RGB channels.  Right-click on any of your existing channels and you'll see the options for inserting RGB channels.
