Gina Burns Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I just got done with building my PC-CTB16PC but I have a Dell computer and on the back of the computer this is not a place to put the adapter! What do I do?
Denny Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 If you are trying to use the SC485-RJ45 Serial Adapter and you do not have a serial port on your computer, then you need to order the USB serial adapter http://store.lightorama.com/usbsead.html Make sure you get one from LOR as some do not work properly with LOR (I found out the hard way last year).
Gina Burns Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 Thanks for the advice! Well, never fear! LOR is here! LOL...I just got off the phone with Brian and I will be getting my adapter from them hopefully by Monday or Tuesday! LOR saved the day once again! We all now can go about our merry way and sleep peacefully knowing that LOR is out there ready to help! Thanks LOR!

Gina Burns Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 My Dell only has one serial port for the monitor and this is it.....it has USB ports!
