Using daughter boards for trigger inputs

Hi everyone !

 

I bought two CTB16PC and one Mp3 director "Daughter boards" (the little input boards).  

 

By the looks of it,

 

I can only use the MP3 Director board IF, i'm using a director, BUT, if it's hooked to a computer THEN, I have to use the CTB Board(s).

 

I get it about the director using the header input, BUT shouldn't I be able to use the CTB triggers as well? (when using a director ?)

 

I ask, only because of my layout, it would be much easier to use the CTB trigger boards in both cases.

 

Anyone have knowledge using the trigger boards ?
